Words cannot explain all

Alright, I will admit, I have an addiction to music, ever since I started to grow up. It has always been to good to me, other than the less-than-prefered music I heard over the years. My ears have changed over the years, so has my taste in music. But, I do not know how, but there is a song for a every feeling, every moment. Musicians are very beautiful people, but some are not so great (I am not going to go in detail with that because I might end up insulting people). Anyway, artists are artists, and they can explain things so much better than I.

Now, I will just list some songs I love/loved.

1. "How Soon Is Now"- The Smiths
This was the first song I listened to that I felt as though spoke to my soul. Morrisey's voice is just so amazing, and the song is so unique and perfect for relieving stress on a rough night.

2. "Wish You Were Here"- Pink Floyd
I love this ballad. Some of you can argue with me if it is a ballad, but for now, it is a ballad. It just makes everything relax, the atomsphere totally changes when you play this song. It is perfect for a cozy night in.

3. "Waterloo Sunset"- The Kinks
A light-hearted song on my playlist. I listened to this while I was just goofing around with my friends. It just screams youth :). Sha la la :).

4. "Asleep"- The Smiths
This song is probably one of my all time favorites. It makes everything calmer and dreamy and mysty. I know that does not make any sense at all, but listen to it. This song is perfect after a breakup or heartbreak, however you put it.

5. "Woodland"- Paper Kites
I always imagine a child running through a meadow whenever I hear this song. The lyrics and melody are so youthful in my minds, and it such a happy song. :)

6. "Montana"- Youth Lagoon
Irony is very present in this song. With the dreamy, mystical melody with the sad lyrics, it usually is not best played at a party. However, this unique song can explain many of my days. Perfect from a bus ride home when it is raining outside.

7. "Lover of the Light"- Mumford and Sons
I absolutely love Mumford and Sons. They are defintely one of my favorite bands and sound amazing live. This song makes me feel so powerful yet calm all at the same time.

8. "Serendpity"- Greg Holden
Another happy song. It reminds me of snow falling on face as I am making a snow angel. I love his voice; it sounds amazing.

9. "The Summer We Raised You"- Years Around the Sun
The ultimate summer roadtrip/beach song. It makes me feel so free and so happy. I love this song, and it makes me feel as though I am in a dream.

10. "The Swimming Song"- Vetiver
Ok, I probably lied. This is in the running for the ultimate summer roadtrip/beach song. Again, it is just so carefree.

11. "Gonzo"- All American Rejects
There is something about this song that I love. I cannot pinpoint it, but it makes feel as though I am in a house party.

12. "Mr. Brightside"- The Killers
This is one of the many songs I find myself turning my boombox all the way up whenever I hear this song. It is perfect for jamming out on a Friday or Saturday Night.

13. "God Save the Queen"- The Sex Pistols
Not the most politcally-liked song, but perfect for just jamming out. Same feeling with the Killers.

14. "Easy to Love"- The Jezabels
I was looking for the perfect song to choregraph my modern dance, and I found this. It makes me feel so powerful, and my dancers do to.

15. "More Than Life"- Whitley
Very airy and dreamlike song. Perfect for just hanging around or being in a coffee shop. :)

Moreover, songs can explain moments better than I can ever do. That is what I wanted to show you. Again, I do not mean to insult or offend anyone, so if you feel offended/insulted in any way, please send me your reason and I will send back an apology. Email my colleague lillianjuly24@aol.com.

With Love,

Violet Sar Bleu
