Hopefully, right when I am writing this, you are with the people who you love most. I hope that you are having a great day, and I am in no position to ruin the holidays for you. With that being said, I will just tell you about some trips I have taken over the years, the best, the worst, the ugliest, and the most forgotten (hopefully you get a good laugh).
The Best Trip(s):
- Chicago, I absolutely love Chicago. It is very cold, and I went there when it was around Spring Break, near St. Patrick's. Of course, being from the gulf coast and all, it was freezing, but nonetheless beautiful. The people were very kind and friendly. Thank you, Chicago, you very kind to me.
- Destin, my goodness gracious, I thought I was in heaven. The water was a crystal blue and so clear, and the sand is so white and soft, like a pillow. By far, the best beach area ever. Since I went after hurricane season, there were some "ok" waves, nothing like South Africa, but very fun to bodysurf. Again, the people were very kind and very friendly, and it was warm, but not to warm. Just imagine you were cold and a ray of sunshine just beat upon you.
- Orange County, so much better than Los Angeles. I do not like Los Angeles; it is just not my place. But Orange County, I love that place. Not because of I can easily find an In-N-Out Burger around there, but because it is so peaceful. Weird weather, hot during the day, cold during the night, nonetheless, a very good place.
The Worst Trip:
-Vietnam, save yourself and just go to Indonesia or Burma because I did not like Vietnam, at all. Every place, we cannot expect people to be kind, but oh my goodness. Yeah, that is all I have to say. Plus, I got food poisoning because some idiotic stranger told me to eat something. That added to my idiotic mind (I listened to a stranger) and my terrible experience. So, save your health and sanity, and do not go here.
The Ugliest Trip:
- No place to me really screams ugly other than Colorado. It is beautiful there, and the people are nice, do not get be wrong. However, I met some jerk. Ok, he did not understand that I did not want to ski, but he forced me too and then yelled at me when I fell. Awesome guy. I was eight, but I knew better. Then, I threw snow at him and demanded a refund. In the end, my mother I had to go get me, and I still did not get my refund.
The Most Forgotten Trip:
- Toronto, yes, not Las Vegas. I remember everything that happened it Vegas, but not in Canada. I only remember Mykonos by Fleet Foxes and Pippy Longstocking and a new band called the Vicious Cycle. That is all I remember. Pretty upseting because that was the time where I matured, where my innocence is totally gone, but I do not remember any of it. The last thing I remembered was this flight attendant who kept making sure I was not trying to pull a prank or something. My mother said that the people who I went on this trip with made me clean after them. Of course, I do not remember.
Yes, most of you are on vacation. Usually it is not where we go, but who we go with. Whenever I go on a trip with my mother, sister or my father, it is always a blast. It can be the most boring place on the planet, and we will still have fun. On the contrary, whenever I go on a trip with one of my aunts, it is not so fun. Yeah, they usually make me babysit their children, which all I do is feed them. So, next time you are thinking about taking a trip, be sure it is with people you want to go with :).
Happy Holidays!
What was your best trip? Your worst? Why were they like they were?
With Love,
Violet Sar Bleu
