Eyes Without a Face

How lovely is it when a stranger greets you kindly? How lovely is it when we hear a song where we do not have to understand every word, but entirely, it speaks to your soul? How lovely is it when we read a novel where it understands ourself so well and is so well written?

I was never a classic book lover other than The Once and Future King, Catcher in the Rye, and The Great Gatsby. To tell you the truth, I am very into American literature versus British Literature because I feel as though they do not have to make an elaborate storyline in order to say a statement. American literature is more pronounce in their message.

Of course, I feel as though books are people. They are written by people. Therefore, they contain the thoughts people. Almost as if they watch over you, but they still remain unhuman. I sound crazy, but it makes sense once it processes it our minds.

Songs that do not mean anything are pointless. Isn't that the whole point of writing a song? I have heard beautiful songs and not-so beautiful songs. Who cares if it has a good beat? It needs more than that. It needs meaning.

I absolutely love it when a stranger greets you. A wave, smile, whatever, it makes me feel happy. I greet strangers too, but I guess they take it the wrong way. My mom never really enforced the "don't talk to strangers" rule, other than if they try to kidnap me or harm me. This one time in Chicago, someone bought me some coffee because they thought I was cold. That is probably the most meaningful gesture since it seems as though they cared about my well-being.

I guess when I read a book or hear a song, I do not care if it is controversial. I do not care what society thinks of the novel. They can think of whatever they want to think because I am not a persuasive person. If something has meaning to it, I will respect it, even love it, but if it doesn't, what is the point of reading or listening to it? There are some artists that just write a song so that it can be the next big hit. After around 6 or 7 months, who is going to listen to it now?

Anyway, I just wanted to put it out there. Some people might have already did, but of course, I just want to enforce it :).

Have you ever listened to a song where it speaks to your soul? What was it? Share me some of your favorite songs.

With Love,

Violet Sar Bleu

P.S. If anything offends you (but I cannot see how it may in this particular post), tell me and I will send an apology.
