The ranting has ended for a while, which was probably caused by PMS (sorry for using that as excuse ,but true). However, I still have some questions for you to answer, so here I go. By the way, these questions are not to make fun of society, but to get in insight. I was never the social butterfly growing up, nor I am now.
1. Why is it easy for people to make big decisions but hard to make small decisions?
Ex. It is easier for a girl to choose which college to go to, but not what to wear every morning.
2. Why do people dress nice even though we always say that it was it is in the inside that counts?
I know the dress to impress things, but I do not get why it should be included into every situation. If I want to live life, I will like to live life comfortably.
3. What happened to communication?
I think nowadays people act too strongly and quickly in response to something they do not like. Ex. Riots, War, etc.
4. Why are there so many rules in the English language?
Commas, they are disturbing. It may sound silly, but I am not a native speaker.
5. What happened to living life simply?
All you need is a place to stay, food on the table, water, and company. I used to stay in this apartment where the television would not work nor did the electronics, and we were situated near the sea. We had enough food on the table to have us over for each day, and there was no extra money being able to get spent. I was happy. Life was simple. Now, I have everything I could ever want, and I am unhappy.
6. Where is all the meaningful music?
Sex, girls, drugs, can't they talk about anything other than that? I love Austin's radio stations, but I cannot drive 2 hours in order to get a nice set of radio stations. Houston only has one radio station that I like. One out of 12. This is getting ridiculous.
7. Why is ignorance getting confused with honesty? Why is honesty looked as rude?
I do not think a comment is needed to explain.
8. Why is love confused with the evils of lust and infatuation?
Again, no comment needed.
9. Why is there a certain look in order to be considered "cool"?
I do not where jeans often (especially skinny jeans) often because they are uncomfortable and prefer to wear dresses, pants, and skirts. Now, I am labeled "weird girl", also having a twin does not help out with the situation.
10. Hypocrisy
Again no comment needed, but everyone is guilty of this (including me).
Please provide me with some answers. I am a confused, unsocial, pessimistic, sarcastic person. You can comment or send them to my colleague's email that I have posted in previous posts.
With Love

P.S. Listen to Frank O'Hara's recitation of his poem Having a Coke with You, it is like you are dreaming. While you are at it, listen to Greg Holden's Serendipity.
