Ring in the New Year! :) While some of you are writing your resolutions, I am not. I rather not. Why? Well, my darlings, I do not like to make a list of things I want to change about myself because it is not right. Why change yourself? You are perfect the way you are, but if you are not happy with yourself, go right ahead. :) I am fine with myself, all the habits and all. Instead of making a resolution list, I prefer to look back on how I grew as a person. This may seem cheesy to many of you, but it works for me, unlike the resolution list.
1. I learned that I prefer to be on my own. When I am independent from everyone, I am happier. I feel more free. It is just the way I am because I prefer to be the only person in control.
2. There is a world wide epidemic on freeloaders. We all know who they are. Those people who sit back and do nothing while others are doing their work and giving a part of it to the freeloaders. Apparently, alot of people do it. Shocker.
3. I am not a people person. Many of you probably noticed it by now, but I do not like talking to people. It may be a certain people, but I am not a people person. I can act like I do not mind the person, but in truth, I rather be alone.
4. I have the weirdest pet peeves. For some weird reason, I have alot of weird pet peeves. I cannot stand alot of things, and if I start to talk about them now, I will just end up ranting for the rest of the entire blog.
5. There is nothing better to me than having a movie night with myself. I just like to lay on the couch and watch my favorite films with my favorite junk food, including sugary cereal.
6. No matter how much I try, I look frumpy in 80s and 40s style dresses. Marilyn Monroe dresses look great on Marilyn Monroe because she actually has a shape. Yeah, I am not curvy, so those dresses do nothing for me. I look better in simple skater dresses, mini shapeless dresses, and shapeless maxi dresses. Those flatter my body.
7. High heels hurt. They look beautiful, but once I worn them for 4 to 5 hours for the first time, they killed my feet. Pointe shoes are bad, but high heels give a different type of pain. Yeah, not fun, my arches were killed by the end of the night.
8. I learned how to smirk. Sometimes, back then, when I smirked, it looks like I am frowning. Yeah, but luckly, I was taught how.
9. I am not mean, just unmerciful. I think that I am mean, but people just say that I am unmerciful if they harm me. I guess that is a better way of putting it.
10. I learned the meaning of "Valley Girl".
11. I look bitchy. According to some of my friends, they would not have spoken to me if I did not smile at them. I look mean. Maybe it is the black hair on the pale skin, maybe it is my harsh features, I do not know. I just learned how to deal with it by smiling more. Yes, smiling makes us look so much friendlier.
Yes, those are some of the things I learned in this past year. I know there are some more, but I cannot think of any. Have a happy New Year. Love you all and I hope you learned something in the past year. Best of Wishes.
