Flower Inspired Clothing

I cannot get this springtime excitement bug out of me. It is just so beautiful! :). Let me tell you, thank goodness that I am not doing a video because it will be difficult for me to contain all of my excitement. To try to make myself calm down. I decided to make outfits inspired by my favorite flowers, because why not, and I thought it will be approtiate since it is spring.

1. Sunflowers
If I woke up and got surrounded my sunflowers, I think I would either try to grab all of sunflowers with me or just try to lay there and not get sunburned. Either way, sunflowers just scream happieness.

I think sunflowers express youth and carefreeness, so I wanted to project those qualities to this outfit. The  crochet tank looks very darling with the high waisted shorts, and the oxfords help bring it all together, and just make it very youthful and casual.

2. Lily of the Valley
Lily of the Valley is very mystical and fantasy like to me. With its white bell shape that droops down gracefully, it is also very rare and rather poisonous to other plants.

I wanted to capture the mystery and gracefullness of lily of the valley, so I chose a lace dress to capture the romanticism and mystery of the flower. While the gold leaves headband makes every girl feel like a goddess, the crochet foot detailing makes everything looks so carefree and down to earth.

3. Dandelions
I do not know about you, but when I was a child, I grabbed a dandelion and blew on it to see the petals fly away. It makes me think of good memories of my childhood.

I wanted to capture childlike demur into this outfit, yet still give it a somewhat grown up feel. The playful romper and print of the oxford gives the outfit a youthful feel, but the white color of the romper and the sweetheart neckline still show that this outfit is not for children.

4. Blue Bells
I love the deep rich blue of the flower, and it gives it a very mystery and solitude type feel to it. The flowers look very conservative and deep and rich.

I wanted to capture the solitude of the flowers through the conservative flowy dress. With the lace up shoes, it will counterbalance the conservativeness of the dress, and let the blue socks peek out to give a pop of color and capture the deep blue of the flowers.

Hopefully, you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed creating it. If you would like a post about clothing, leave it in the comments below or email.

With love,

Violet Sar Bleu
