Hello my darlings! As you well know, the title of this post is the same as the blog title :). Not original, but what better way to start out?
Of course, it will be weird to read a blog about someone's life when you do not know who they are so let's get going. Remember, people grow through time. Not everything will be the same with all of the information. By the way, Violet Sar Bleu will be my pseudonym I write under; it is not my real name.
Basic Information:
Favorite Color: Yves Klein Blue, I know it sounds like a gimmick, but it really isn't. When paint dries on canvas, it is usually dull and flat unlike liquid paint itself. But, Yves Klein developed a color that retains its glossiness. See it in person and judge it from it actually being in front of you.
Favorite Band: The Smiths, not the type of band that politics stand for, but nonetheless, good music. If you've never heard of them, check them out.
Favorite Song: Serendipity by Greg Holden, fantastic artist, fantastic song. It calms and soothes you, and the music is as simple as it can get. Less is more, right?
Favorite Food: Maria Biscuits, not everyone likes these. They taste like bread with vanilla and are meant to be dipped in tea but taste better if you dunk them in coffee. The U.S. sells these, and I believe Great Britain has something similar to it.
Favorite Movie: I am such a movie geek. I love Boys Don't Cry, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Reader, Never Let Me Go, The Shawshank Redemption, Full Metal Jacket, Paper Moon; I
can go on and on, but I really do not want to bore you. The Breakfast Club is another good one.
Favorite Book: I am torn between Catcher in the Rye and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. These books are a must read. You should read these books at least once in your lifetime. Both have changed my view of life and made me wiser. No other book has done that. Beware, these books aren't for the faint-hearted, read it when you are ready.
Favorite Actor: Eddie Redmayne. The reason is because he is so diverse. He portrayed a cowboy, Native American, a man who had an affair with Marilyn Monroe, a Christian Monk, a man in Savage Grace who I really do not want to describe, and many more. Check out this Brit around late December in Les Miserables.
Favorite Drink: Black Coffee, no creamer or sugar. It just tastes pure and smooth to me.
Favorite Fast Food: In-N-Out, Animal Style Fries with a root beer float please. :)
Pet Peeves: People stepping on my seatbelt, slamming on brakes, running silverware across the teeth, slurping, and talking while others are speaking.
Hobbies/Interests: Dancing, Movies, Reading, Thrift and Antique Shopping
Quotes that I live by: "Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anyone"
"You can act old all the years of your life, but you only have a couple of years to live young"
That is all I will share with you today. Check back around next week for another post. This is meant to be a introductory post and for you to get to know me.
With Love,
Violet Sar Bleu
P.S. We only part to meet again :).
